Soprano 415 Hz after Terton

Go to pricelist Soprano 415 Hz after Terton

The Terton (1676-1752) soprano in the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag has become well known through the Frans Bruggen recordings. The original is a beautiful boxwood instrument with silver decorations. It is very briljant and clear and speaks easily in all registers. Unfortunately the original is not well in tune, so that it is impossible to make an exact copy. The Terton family may have come from France to the Netherlands like so many Huguenots at that time.
Engelbert Terton moved from Rijssen to Amsterdam in 1710.
